Community Guidelines.

A public archive where mothers and caregivers share ordinary, good-enough parenting moments and stand with one another. Every story you post is publicly visible on this site. Anyone with the link can read it.

We reject impossible standards — Pinterest-perfect birthdays, spotless homes, mothers who never lose their temper. It is not a celebration of neglect or of unsafe care. Stories that read as descriptions of ongoing harm to a child are removed.

• By default, your posts show as Member #1234. Your email is never shown.
• You can choose to show a display name instead in settings.
• You can edit or delete your own stories at any time.
• You can delete your account and everything you posted at any time.

• Children's real names, schools, or addresses.
• Other identifying details about specific people — partners, family members, teachers.
• Photos.
• Anything describing immediate danger, active abuse, or a child at risk. If you are in crisis, please contact your local emergency services or a helpline.
• Advice-giving directed at other members ("you should…"). MotherSphere is for standing beside, not advising.
• Advertising, spam, or hate speech.

Stories publish immediately. Every story and every piece of supporting evidence has a Report button. Reports are reviewed by admins, who can unpublish or remove content that breaks these guidelines. Repeat violations result in account removal.

MotherSphere is not monitored continuously and is not an emergency service. Reports are reviewed as promptly as possible. If a child is in immediate danger, please contact your local emergency services or a helpline.

I've been there is how we recognise a moment — a quiet acknowledgment, not applause. There are no likes here, only recognition. Add supporting evidence lets you add a short one-line echo of your own to somebody else's story. That's it. No comments, no threads, no advice.

Each week, the most-recognised story is featured as the Weekly Appointment in Recognition. It's a nod, not a competition. Selection is based only on how many mothers said "I've been there" in the last seven days.
